The best games to play with one thumb
Most of my gaming happens standing up, holding a rail, with one hand already occupied. Over time I've gotten picky about which games respect that. The common thread is a control scheme that lives in the bottom third of the screen, within thumb reach, with buttons big enough to miss gracefully.
Casual games usually nail this, but so do some surprising picks — a few turn-based strategy titles work beautifully because you can pause, think, and tap at your own pace. Fast action games are hit or miss; if they demand two thumbs for anything important, they're off the list.
My advice: before you commit to a game, go into its settings and check for a left/right handed toggle and UI scaling. The games that offer those have usually thought about how people actually hold a phone. The ones that don't tend to assume you're sitting down with both hands free.
Pay attention to reachability over flashiness. A game that looks incredible but forces your thumb to stretch across the whole screen will get uninstalled faster than a plain one that fits your grip.
